Cody Compian killed: Roy Gonzales charged with murder after bicyclist killed in crash sparked by argument in Galveston, police say!

Galveston, Texas (KTRK) – A man is accused of murder in a crash, reportedly caused by an altercation that killed a cyclist in Galveston.

Police said the accident occurred at about 7 p.m. Wednesday on 32nd Street and R Street.

Witnesses told police that a man driving a car and a man on a bicycle got into a verbal and physical altercation before the incident.

The man on the bike, identified as 39-year-old Cody Compian, was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Police said another passenger was treated and released at the scene with minor injuries.

Police charged the driver, 62-year-old Roy Gonzalez, with murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

His bond was set at $750,000.
